Visitors Plan – Updated 12th. April 2021 We are delighted that the updated guidance now means we can welcome two visitors per resident back into our Home. We have reviewed the government advice and undertaken our own risk assessments and have updated our policy accordingly. This is designed to continue to keep our residents and staff as safe as we can whilst we welcome visitors back. We will be operating an appointment system for all visits whilst the current restrictions are in place. For the two nominated visitors, it is up to you if you choose to visit together – and can therefore have two joint visits per week – or if you want to have one visit each separately. Each appointment will be 30 mins long. The visitor(s) will need to arrive 45 mins in advance of their appointment to allow time for our health screening and COVID-19 lateral flow test. As we will need to do this screening, visits will need to be Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm until these restrictions ease. During the visit, visitors will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which will be provided by the Home on your arrival. The visit will take place in the resident’s room rather than any communal areas – this is to ensure that we can follow our cleaning procedures after the visit and limit any risk to other residents. Visits in the outdoor visiting pod, and at windows will continue as before. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support throughout this period. We’ve loved welcoming back visitors into the Home and we are so pleased this can now be increased to two visitors – we look forward to these restrictions hopefully being eased further in the coming weeks and months.
